Benefits: This integration increased the ease and speed of getting books by bypassing the need to open a separate web browser, find and download books from the Bookshare website, unzipping the Bookshare DAISY files, and finding and opening the books within the Kurzweil software.

Benefits: This integration increased the ease and speed of getting books by bypassing the need to open a separate web browser, find and download books from the Bookshare website, unzipping the Bookshare DAISY files, and finding and opening the books.  Levelstar's Newstand also created a useful feature for regular periodical readers that helped differentiate it from other products.

Benefits: Welcome module emacspeak-bookshare, a fully integrated Bookshare client for the Emacspeak desktop. Benefits

VDOE, through George Mason University’s (GMU) “Accessible Instructional Materials – VA” library, has developed an alternative system of providing accessible educational media under standards set by NIMAS to students who meet the federal requirements for print disabilities and who are eligible for accessing educational media under individual IEPs, as required under Part B of IDEA or who have the need for accessible instructional materials indicated in their 504 Plan. AIM-VA, in conjunction with partnering agencies, will provide required accessible educational materials to students with an IEP or 504 Plan at no cost to Local Education Agencies in a timely fashion.

Benefits

Go Read is technically not a partner product, but it is a consumer of Bookshare's API. It is built on top of an open source product FB Reader. We encourage all partners and developers to take advantage of it in building their own accessible applications. Check www.goread.org
